As a staff member of this company, My experience and the impact they are having on young adults it’s quite excellent and many lives for these young people are getting better every day towards their independence. I have been working for Hierarchy for about 1 and half years now and for this period, they have been outstanding in all respects. Hierarchy has proven that through hard work, follow through and team work, we can bring positivity in young people’s lives, accomplishing tasks in a courteous and timely manner. The following are some of the achievements, Hierarchy Support Services managed to achieve:

1. Promote Social Interaction Young people often struggle to make friends or show self-esteem in traditional settings. At Hierarchy Support Services, we encourage service users to go for activities every week and develop themselves on social and personal skills. This way they can bond with others who share similar experiences and challenges. Social interaction creates a positive impact on mental health, easing feelings of isolation and loneliness. It allows residents to engage in group activities and outings, as well as discovering new passions and hobbies.

2. Provides a safe and secure environment One of the greatest benefits of our services (supported living) is that it provides a safe and secure home for young people with learning difficulties or impairments. This can be essential for individuals who may have difficulty communicating or struggle with daily tasks. Such tasks can include dressing, cooking, and personal hygiene. Staff members are trained to provide support, while respecting the privacy of residents.

3. Helps young people develop independence With the support of staff members, service users can learn to manage their finances, cook meals, and maintain their living space. These life skills are crucial for individuals who want to live independently in the future. Through learning these skills, residents can gain confidence, helping them achieve goals in later life.

In conclusion, Hierarchy has achieved a lot over a short period of time in bringing independence to young people in particular Central Scotland. They have helped in supporting some of the most difficult service users with several conditions in West Lothian. They have received recommendations from all over central Scotland, This is evidence of their work towards changing young people’s lives. Due to all these happening, the Care inspectors have graded Hierarchy with higher grades on the last inspection.

Hierarchy Support Services, from inception, laid a foundation of genuine care and support for her service users. This is evident in the systematic structure of person centered care adopted in the running of her various services for young adults. At Hierarchy Support Services, day to day work with our service users is not just basic routine and that is where the top-notch difference lies… Each new day’s activity/activities with our young adults, is/are planned ahead with focus on holistic approach specifically tailored to the needs of individual service user(s) and this entail recognition and attending to the emotional, social and environmental indices that can impact our service users and provide support that encapsulates respect, and dignity, compassion thereby empowering them. These are implemented by our team of well-trained staff. At HSS, helping our young adult to live as independently as possible with their dignity and respect intact is at the core of our service delivery. Young adults with case files and records of challenging behaviours after joining HSS, there have been positive turn around, reduced incidences, fewer tantrums, reduced mood swings, healthy living and more stability with the professionalism of our well-trained team of staff. Out service users are involved in the planning of activities for their daily living; charity programs, art exhibitions, excursions, movies sessions, arts and crafts, game sessions; indoor and outdoor games; seasonal parties where service users get to socialize etc. This not only empowers them, it gives them a sense of purpose and gradually, they exude confidence because at HSS, they have a VOICE!!!

Hierarchy is becoming a good household name in our community, especially with supporting young adult by providing a wide range of options ( choices)to service users that they can choose from, at the same time protecting their dignity and also respecting them in order to promote their well being, ensuring client cantered care. Mind you, all this can be achieved because hierarchy work hand in hand with all stakeholders, professionals and well trained staffs by providing adequate care in line with guidelines and policies. Also hierarchy was given 5 star rating by the care inspectorate.

Hierarchy is one of the fast leading care companies in our community. They work hand in hand with professionals,that are caring ,enthusiastic,compassionate and empathetic toward delivering a person centred care to service users,they have helped in building confidence in young Adults, by supporting them to be the best they can be. They provide training as necessary as required to members of staff and also include service users and family in order to serve the service users and community better. One of the achievements is during the care inspectorate visit to the services, after all inspections and documentations hierarchy was given a 5. there are lots of activities organised by Hierarchy to improved the social skills and interaction of the service users, these and more is what hierarchy stands for.
